Frank and Nicole Falardeau and Pastor Dale took a truckload of food donations from Grace and from Redeemer Lutheran in Highland to Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne.

One of Pastor Dale's favorite stories from the museum:

In the 1890's the Lutheran Church in Germany decided to send a pastor to Australia to minister to the German immigrants living there. Upon arrival, Carl Strehlow and his wife realized the mission at Hermannsburg was completely disorganized. Known for his rigid self-discipline, Carl established order out of chaos. The mission thrived and became a hub not only for the immigrants but also for the native Arandas, who were grateful for the help and guidance.

Carl was dedicated to the mission and worked tirelessly. In his spare time, he studied the aboriginal languages in the hope of communicating better with the Aranda people. He compiled a German/Aranda dictionary and translated the Bible. The mission is now a historical site, and the ministry to the Aranda people continues today.
